A dashboard is your chosen numbers auto-assembled in one place instead of five logins. Worth having when it's SMALL: the five-number scoreboard (leads, CPL, close rate, response speed, reviews) plus spend, glanceable in thirty seconds.
Not worth having: the forty-widget wall agencies love. Impressive, unread, and mostly vanity metrics in formation. A dashboard nobody checks weekly is furniture; a big one that hides the five numbers is worse than none.
Cheap versions that work: a spreadsheet updated monthly (genuinely fine), Looker Studio pulling GA4/Ads free, or your CRM's built-in reports. Spend on plumbing (tracking correctness) before glass (visualization).
