App Development
iOS apps built & published to the App Store.
Why it matters
Some businesses outgrow the browser: field teams that need tools in their pocket, customers who'd engage more from a home-screen icon, internal operations that deserve better than a spreadsheet. I design, build, and publish native iOS apps. And I've shipped the full arc: an employee portal with role-based logins, HR documents, and admin controls that, when the field crews needed it in their pockets, shipped to the Apple App Store as a native app. Same backend, same data, no rebuild, no new vendor. That's what owning your platform actually buys you.
You get one accountable builder from idea to App Store listing: architecture, design, development, Apple review, and the updates after launch.
Who this is for
- Businesses with a portal or internal tool their team would use more as an app
- Founders validating a focused app idea without hiring a dev team
- Companies whose customers keep asking 'is there an app?'

What a build actually costs
Real ranges from work in the industries we serve, and the one thing that moved the number most in each. Your Blueprint replaces the range with a fixed quote.
| Industry | A build we would expect | Typical range | What moves it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Insurance | Policyholder app: ID cards, certificate requests, claim status | $18k – $45k | Whether it talks to your AMS. A live agency-management integration is most of the build; a nightly export is a fraction of it. |
| Accounting | Client app: photograph receipts, upload documents to the right engagement, approve returns | $15k – $35k | Document handling is cheap; e-signature and anything touching a tax workflow is not. |
| Engineering | Field capture: site data, photographs, checklists, sync when back in signal | $30k – $70k | Working offline. An app that assumes a connection is straightforward; one that survives a day without one is a different project. |
| Healthcare | Patient intake, scheduling and secure messaging | $35k – $80k | HIPAA. Audit logging, encryption, access controls and a BAA with every vendor add real weeks before a single feature ships. |
| Real Estate | Tenant or client app: documents, maintenance requests, showing schedules | $20k – $45k | MLS or property-management integrations, and whether payments run through it. |
| Legal | Client app: intake, matter status, secure document exchange | $18k – $40k | Conflict checks and retention rules. The legal obligations shape the data model more than the screens do. |
| Associations & Nonprofits | Member app: directory, events, dues, digital membership card | $20k – $50k | Whether dues and event payments run inside the app, and how much of your existing member database has to come with it. |
| E-Commerce | Customer app: reorder, order tracking, loyalty | $15k – $40k | Usually the cheapest of these, because the storefront already exists. The work is the app around it, not the commerce underneath. |
Not sure you need an app at all? Say so on the call. Plenty of what gets asked for as an app is better as a web portal your clients reach from any device. That is the cheaper answer and sometimes the right one.
The build is quoted from the Blueprint, never before it. Typically $15,000 to $60,000 depending on what the spec turns out to say. Nobody can price an app they have not scoped, and a number produced before that is a guess someone eventually pays for.
Common questions
iOS only, or Android too?+
The core offer is native iOS, built and published properly. If your audience needs Android, we'll scope the right approach for your case during the audit rather than promising everything up front.
Who owns the app and the code?+
You do. The code, the App Store listing, and the developer account, all in your name. Ongoing development is available, but never required to keep what's yours.
What does the App Store review process involve?+
Apple reviews every app against its guidelines before publishing. I handle the submission, the compliance details, and any back-and-forth with Apple. You don't need to learn any of it.
