Run the checklist in order: is the profile verified (unverified profiles barely surface)? Is it suspended (log in and look for the banner)? Is the address/service area set correctly (a hidden address with no service area shows nowhere)? Then, and only then, is it a ranking problem rather than an existence problem.
If it exists but ranks poorly: local results weigh proximity, relevance, and prominence. You can't move your building, so the levers are relevance (categories, services, real content) and prominence (reviews, citations, links). The whole system in our local guide.
One sneaky cause worth checking: duplicate profiles splitting your identity. Search Maps for your name and phone. If two versions exist, that's the fight to win first.
